New Year

Hello all! Things have been very good since my last post. For starters, happy new year!  The last quarter of 2009 was a treat, here are some highlights:

-Got back from Europe with a fresh angle on things. It was awesome over there. Paris was our favorite spot. Predictable?

-Won some very nice finals in the Ad World. One was the spot featuring the new HTC Android phone as seen in my reel, thanks again to Jack at BB3.

-Did some delightful games for Hero Interactive including Paint the Fence, Bubble Tanks Tower Defense, and Jimmy Bubble Gum. They are a fabulous production over there and I can’t wait for another year writing for them.

-Scored a few longer form videos for non-profits. One was Advent Conspiracy 2009. The other was for Trade as One. Both very good causes, check them out if you like.

Thanks for all your support and here’s to another good year!

Update

Hey all.Lots going on. Here’s bits and pieces:

I recently scored the music for a game called Pixel by my good friends over at Hero Interactive. It got a nice review over at Jay Is Games as well.

I recently won a final for an up-coming McDonald’s radio spot, and a broadcast final for Blue Notes. Thanks to Jack over at BlackBoard 3 and Kerry, Keith, and Elijah over at Massive NY, respectively.

My wife and I are heading to Europe for the better part of September. We are hitting Munich, Paris, Milan, Venice, and Athens. We will also be spending some time in the Austrian countryside, and in the Grecian Islands. It is going to be very, very, very lovely. I am sorry if you want me to do something for you and I cannot, one must rest.

Cheers.

Levi’s

I am proud to say that Joey Prather and I have officially landed a final for a Levi’s commercial via WK Portland. It’s a bigun, and we are ecstatic. Read about it in the NY times and watch it right here. The entire spot was shot in Portland. A big thanks to all the good people at WK.

Girls singing

Recently had a few projects requiring female vocals. For Comcast, I had Michelle Zauner in (Little Girl, Big Spoon and more recently Post Post) last week and it was wonderful to see her again. Also just finished up a demo for a Garnier/Fructis spot featuring Emily Overstreet (The Olive Grove). Emily is finishing up a record she recorded with Jordan Richter (sick producer/engineer) all are very talented, you should check their digs.

Kraft, Nike, Comcast, Vector boom, NWEA

Been a busy couple of weeks. Lots going on. Doing some competitive work for Comcast and Kraft via music houses in NY and Michigan. Just wrapping up a little in-house Nike sound design gig. NWEA is a quick job tweaking something we wrote for different spot at Blue Scout. Also Vector Boom, a fun little web based flash game by Hero Interactive. All is well.
